FREKVENS
An experimental electronic-music festival in a decommissioned power plant — lineup, three stages, tickets. · Industrial rave · loud, kinetic, brutalist
Read the full brief every model received
Design the website for **FREKVENS**, a fictional three-night experimental electronic music festival held inside a decommissioned coal power plant in Rotterdam. The audience is young, international, and comes for music they cannot hear anywhere else.
The page must communicate:
- The festival's identity and dates (three nights next February, in the turbine hall, the boiler house, and the cooling tower — each a stage with its own character).
- The lineup — invent around a dozen artist names that fit the world, with a few headliners given more presence than the rest.
- The venue itself: raw concrete, steel, residual industrial power. The building is part of the show.
- Tickets: three tiers (single night, full festival, and a limited "turbine floor" pass), with a clear way to buy.
- Practicalities kept brief: getting there, age policy, ear protection.
Emotional register: **loud, kinetic, industrial, confrontational — controlled chaos**. The page should feel like standing too close to a speaker stack: overwhelming on first contact, precise underneath. Typography can be a physical force here; motion can be aggressive as long as it stays intentional rather than random.
This challenge stresses **boldness, kinetic energy, and art direction**: whether a model can be loud with discipline. All visuals must be generated in code — no external images.
All design decisions — palette, typography, layout, copy, imagery, motion — are yours. There is no single right answer; make something with a point of view.
