Build a small, playable game called **Beacon**. The player is the keeper of a lighthouse on a lonely coast at night. Ships approach through fog, and the player sweeps the lighthouse beam to light their way safely past the rocks — a ship caught in darkness or steered into the rocks is lost; a ship guided through is saved. It should be genuinely playable in the browser, not a mockup: - The player controls the beam (mouse or keys — your choice) to illuminate the water and the incoming ships. - Ships appear over time and move; the player must light them in time to keep them safe. - There's a clear goal and a way to lose, a running score or count of ships saved, and a way to restart. - Difficulty should build — more ships, thicker fog, or faster approaches as the game goes on. The feeling matters as much as the mechanics: a lonely, nautical, tense-but-calm mood — the dark sea, the drifting fog, the slow arc of the beam, the small relief each time a ship makes it through. Draw everything yourself (canvas, SVG, or CSS); use no external images, audio files, or libraries loaded from the network. This challenge stresses **game feel and interactivity** — whether the model can make something that is both fun to play and atmospheric to be in. All design decisions — art style, controls, palette, difficulty, motion, sound-if-any — are yours. There is no single right answer; make something with a point of view.
